PRESS RELEASE

We received an official appeal from the Prime Minister for “an amicable solution”. We welcome this initiative. Our negotiation team met with the Health Secretary, Mr Hota in the presence of Prof P Venugopal, Director, AIIMS, Dr Salhan, MS, Safdarjung, Dr Chaturvedi, MS RML and Mr Mayank Sharma, AIIMS.
The Health Secretary, on behalf of the government informed us that the issue of setting up a judicial commission was not negotiable and the government is not willing to set up such a commission. We reiterated to the government that this commission forms the core of any solution to the issue and we will not settle for anything less.
We fail to understand why the government is adamant on its stand when it agrees that such a commission is not binding on the Parliament.

The movement started by the Youth for Equality continued to gain momentum today. Support for our cause has been pouring in from all walks of life. More and more educational institutions have come out in support. 215 residents of SGPGI, Lucknow have been on hunger strike since Thursday. PGI Chandigarh doctors have entered the 6th day of their strike and are continuing with their agitation despite eviction notices being served to over 250 doctors.

The claim that students are being forced into anti-reservation protests is totally false. We all feel strongly about the issue and are under no external pressure to join the movement.

Evacuation orders have been served to the Senior Residents/ Senior Demonstrators to vacate their hostels within 24 hours. Our reply is very clear. These threats will not bog us down, but will only strengthen our resolve to fight it out till the end.
On the 22nd of May 2006, the UPA Government completes two years in power. On this day, we appeal to the general public to come out in support of us to observe a black out by switching off all lights for 10 minutes from 8pm. We need your support in our agitation against caste based reservation.

FROM OUTLOOK
--------------

After the shocks and jolts from the stock market today, the UPA government
couldn't have received a more scathing critique on the day it completes
two years in power. Two of the most respected academicians of the country
- Andre Beteille and Pratap Bhanu Mehta - resigned from the National
Knowledge Commission (NKC) in protest against the 'government’s recent
decision to extend quotas for OBCs in Central institutions, the palliative
measures the government is contemplating to defuse the resulting
agitation, and the process employed to arrive at these measures'. The full
text of the stirring, poignant and pointed letter by the resigning
member-convenor of the NKC:

I hope we are able to save our country and the people of this country from these selfish traitors known as 'POLITICIANS'

I support all your activities, see my blog: http://o3.indiatimes.com/indiareserved

We need to work in planned way, as reservation will never be abolished by the will of the ruling party only. As it is their bread and butter and every party supports it in their agenda for the game of votes and politics.

We need to target that issue which will disintegrate the ruling party Congress from its other allies and other parties. Only then other politicians from different parties will come forward to support our cause. It can be said that Congress has failed in implementing the reservation, when after so many years of providing reservation, still poor people are in need of reservation. Reservation is just the eyewash, and actually Congress wants to attract votes from backward classes and playing dirty politics. We need to attach many more supporting issues to this reservation issue that would show the failure of congress, so Congress party is BAD. If this will be motto, then focus will come on the credibility of the party, and eventually the party will try to makeover its stand on Reservation.

Its high time, we can not let these politicians ruin our future for their petty political gains.
Above all i didn't expect this from Manmohan Singh, his actions prove that there is no politician in India who cares about the public and general well being of the Nation. All they care for is their political well being and their bank balance even at the cost of our Nation.

After so many years India has now truly started developing, in place of promoting trade and commerce, developing infrastructure, providing basic necessities of life like clean water and electricity our government is busy playing the divide and rule game invented the the britishers to keep us under their control.
Sometimes i feel we need to start another freedom struggle but this time freedom from the monsters that we have ourselves chosen and elected to rob our nation of all its wealth and innocence from its citizens.
Me and my friends have decided never to vote for Congress. we will vote for Lalu if we have to but will do what ever it takes to keep congress and all its Gandhi worshippers out of power and send them back to hell where they all belong.

THE STORY OF RESERVATION
THE RECENT HYPE BY MEDIA, ORGANIZATIONS LIKE YFE IS MISGUIDING THE YOUTH AND ARE MADE TO BELIEVE THAT CASTE BASED RESERVATION IS GREATEST THREAT TO THEM.

They are'nt made aware of actual reality about various quotas.
Instead of the thing is BASIC PRICIPLE OF RESERVATION is objectionable. Youth seems to have believed that only CASTE BASED RESERVATION is objectionable. They are'nt made aware of various aspects of reservation and even different forms of reservation. Even if they are aware, they are blinded by some people and media to make them realize that they are upper castes which are'nt benefitted by reservations instead reservation is only against them.
They are presented misfacts about reservation especially SC/ST reservation packaged in the form of stories like grass hopper and ants.
Actually this way, castiest minds of the society are convincing the youth to follow their own caste lines and integrate them. While most youth anti reservationists raise their voices out of pure jealousy based on caste lines. While the modern youth still boasts about his higher caste pride, they can't take reservation for lower castes. May be because always their caste has been a matter a pride for them and now they are loosing something because of the same.
